HEAD OF RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

The client of Acteon is a global leader in electrical and digital building infrastructures counting 35,000 employees, a presence in more than 70 countries and realising 4 billion Euros of turnover with sales in 180 countries. Strategically positioned on promising markets, the group has invested in Russia and CIS since the early 90 resulting in acquisitions of two production plants. They are currently looking for a new Head of R&D department for their production unit based in region – less than 1,000 km from Moscow.

The Role:

• Manage and take the lead of the R & D Department constituted of over 50 people
• Define strategic axes for the development of new potential products on the Russian market
• Create, optimize and modernize advanced technical models based on economic requirements and internal experiments
• Control esthetic and economic aspects of new products developped by the department
• Make sure that Quality level of developped products is in phase with company standards and market requirements
• Supervise documentation elaboration, technical requirements and specifications and ensure that production department receive the entire proper information on time
• Take part to new products launches on production line
• Deliver technical conclusions and possible development advices to the top management of the Business Unit
• Monitor tests and technical analysis of competitor’s products to optimize the company’s leading position on the market

The candidate

• Technicial engineer with higher education in electronics
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head of R & D department in an industrial sphere or similar
• Hard-worker with strong communications skills
• Team-management experience
• Dynamic, pro-active and personal interest for this specific sphere
• Fluent in English, any additional language is a plus
