The Company
The client of Acteon, with over 140,000 employees and a presence in 100 countries, is a global leader in Construction and Civil Engineering projects, developing and operating a unique portfolio of transport infrastructures and public facilities concessions. Working on several major projects on Russia, they are now looking for a Chief Accountant for a new top project in Russia to start mid 2013.
The Role:
- Implementing and controlling of the administrative procedures
- Setting up the accounting system
- Implementing the budget and the treasury forecasts
- Managing accounting process from initial registration till full package of financial statements according to Rus GAAP
- Dealing with tax declaration, statutory returns and payroll
- Driving the relationship with local advisers, local administration officers and with internal or external IT suppliers
- Analyzing treasury and budget gap
- Monitoring the relationship with bank partners and group finance experts
- Preparing the finance and treasury reporting according to the IAS to the group head office within agreed deadlines
- Advising of any concerns, and address any issue that may arise in regards to any practice in conflict with the company’s policies or the best interest of the company from a legal/financial standpoint or any regulatory requirements, thereby avoiding any unexpected financial/legal exposure for the company
- Managing the internal control procedures
- Ensuring good working order and optimization of the information system (1C)
- Ensuring the integrity of the financial accounts and the administrative Russian compliance
The Candidate:
- Accounting degree with certifications
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience as Chief Accountant in construction project company and ideally 3+ years’ experience for a big four
- Accustomed to operation in a multi-national environment (IFRS)
- Capacity and ideally experience in implementing and organizing the accounting processes from zero
- IT skills: 1C, ERP, Word and Excel
- Fluent in English and/or French and/or German
